About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Valuations Associate Director to manage the delivery of valuation engagements across a wide range of contexts, including M&A transactions, purchase price allocations, dispute resolutions, impairment testing, and equity instruments. You will play a key role in translating complex valuation findings into actionable insights, managing stakeholder expectations, and mentoring future talent.
This role offers significant exposure to high-profile projects and a clear progression pathway to Director and Partnership.
What you’ll do
- Manage the delivery of valuation engagements across M&A transactions, purchase price allocations, dispute resolutions, impairment testing, and equity instruments, including Independent Expert Reports and Fairness Opinions.
- Translate complex valuation findings into concise, actionable insights for decision-makers.
- Review and challenge key valuation assumptions (cash flows, discount rates, growth projections).
- Manage stakeholder expectations including audit reviewers, management, and regulators.
- Coach Associates and Senior Associates on methodology, professional standards, and commercial context.
- Identify and implement process improvement and technology opportunities to enhance analysis quality and efficiency.
- Support business development efforts through proposals, presentations, and relationship management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions (e.g., combined due diligence and valuation).
What we’re looking for
- 6–9 years’ experience in valuations, transaction advisory, or corporate finance in a Big 4 (or similar), Investment Bank or specialist Valuations firm.
- Qualified CA, CPA, or CFA.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and review complex financial models.
- Strong project management and client relationship skills.
- Deep understanding of valuation-related accounting standards (e.g., AASB 13, AASB 3, AASB 136).
- Deep understanding of valuation methodologies (e.g., discounted cash flow, market multiples, asset-based approaches) and their commercial applications.
What we bring
A cutting-edge newly created Professional Services firm and the opportunity to step away from what is rapidly becoming an outdated Partnership model.
A clearly defined vision and a group of market-leading founders who want to reshape what a Professional Services firm looks like.
Why we’re the right fit for you
- The opportunity to be part of a new Professional Services firm that will re-define what is possible.
- A dynamic, collaborative culture and the chance to work alongside market-leading professionals.
- Ongoing professional development and clear opportunities to grow your career.
- Exposure to prestigious clients including private equity firms, corporates, and investors.
