About the Role
The primary duties include lodgement of a variety of ATO forms. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on workflow, updating and maintaining internal databases, managing ATO mail and other administrative functions.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Provide expert tax advice on complex matters including CGT, Division 7A, trust taxation, succession planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HNWIs, family groups, and private businesses.
- Drive business development initiatives and achieve revenue growth targets.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of tax professionals.
- Contribute to firm-wide strategy and ensure compliance with professional standards.

- Manage ATO lodgements and reporting
- Liaise with the ATO as required and manage related documentation
- Management of various online platforms (training provided)
- Downloading reports from the ATO
- Assistance with ASIC compliance, as required
- Scanning and filing
- Reception coverage, as required
- Invoicing, as required
- Support admin team, as required
- Ad hoc administrative duties on request
Skills & experience
Prior experience working within an accounting firm, in a similar role is preferred. You will have exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and be naturally organised.

Ideally, you will:
- Have at least three years prior office experience, ideally in an accounting firm
- Be experienced with managing taxation lodgements and understanding mail issued by the ATO
- Be familiar with or experienced in managing ASIC company compliance obligations
- Be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Have the ability to effectively prioritise your workload, ensuring all deadlines and responsibilities are met
- Have excellent communication and people skills
- Be team focused
- Be comfortable engaging with staff members of all levels
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Be discreet and confidential at all times
- Have the right to work in Australia
