About the Role
We are a multi-disciplinary practice, bringing together accounting-qualified and legally qualified professionals to deliver integrated tax advisory and compliance services. We employ CA, CPA, and legally qualified professionals and maintain appropriate technical and career development programs, as well as supervision arrangements to support legally qualified practitioners.
We are seeking experienced Private Clients Tax Directors to support the Partners in leading and growing our Private Clients practice. This senior role focuses on ensuring seamless delivery of tax advisory and accounting services to high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), family groups, family offices, and privately held enterprises.
You will work closely with the Partners to manage a portfolio of clients, oversee technical delivery, and mentor the team, while contributing to business development and operational excellence. This role offers a clear and structured pathway to Partnership for the right candidate.
What you’ll do
- Manage day-to-day delivery of complex tax advisory and compliance services for private clients.
- Deliver strategic financial guidance to support clients in meeting their business objectives and enhancing overall financial outcomes.
- Support the Partner in developing strategies for client growth and service excellence.
- Provide technical expertise on CGT, Division 7A, trust taxation, succession planning, and international tax matters.
- Oversee workflow, resource allocation, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities for additional services.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in private client tax advisory and compliance.
- Ideally 10+ years’ experience gained in an Accounting/Advisory firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax law for individuals, trusts, and private companies.
- Proven ability to manage complex engagements and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CA qualification or an equivalent professional designation is highly regarded
What we bring
A cutting-edge newly created Professional Services firm and the opportunity to step away from what is rapidly becoming an outdated Partnership model.
A clearly defined vision and a group of market-leading founders who want to reshape what a Professional Services firm looks like.
Why we’re the right fit for you
- The opportunity to start or accelerate your career in Private Client Accounting and Advisory.
- A dynamic, collaborative culture and the chance to work alongside market-leading professionals.
- Structured training and mentoring, including support for CA or CPA qualifications.
- Exposure to prestigious clients including high-net-worth individuals, family groups, and entrepreneurs.
- Competitive remuneration and clear career progression pathways.
